Values & Beliefs Empowerment:We gather information, refine it, and extract the most valuable in order to empower ourselves and others to overcome challenges, find solutions to problems, and improve. Through the success of others we find satisfaction and fulfillment for ourselves. We continually learn then teach. We exist to empower ourselves and others. We are committed to what excellence requires; integrity, continual learning, hard work, humility, courage, working as a team, patience, and genuine concern for others. Integrity: Honest with ourselves and others. We are honest about what we do or don’t know, are strengths and weaknesses. We first look inward when correcting problems. We firmly believe honesty at the beginning pays generously in the end. Our word is good. Continual Learning: We are committed to learning because we don’t have all the answers. We learn from each other. We learn through credible sources. We constantly question (is this the best way to do things? How could it be done better?). We are committed to continual learning. Dedication to the pursuit of excellence-- Hard Work: Excellence is not a destination but a continual pursuit. We are not afraid of working hard and doing the difficult. We are willing to pay the price that must be paid to achieve excellence. Humility: We understand our dependence on others and desire to be part of something bigger than ourselves. We acknowledge our own weaknesses and work to make them strong. Sometimes our pride must take 2nd place for the good of the whole. Teachable. Courage: Excellence often requires doing difficult things or being in difficult circumstances. We don’t shy away. We never give up. We do the right thing. We do what excellence requires. Team work: We desire the best result for everyone and celebrate success wherever it is found. One true joy is the opportunity to work with people of character with whom we respect and who respect us. Patience: We understand that lasting results and success come with time. We are able to postpone instant gratification – for something more gratifying later. Patience is not an excuse for not taking action, it is an understanding that consistent bold steps in the right direction will lead to success. Impatience simply leads us off course. Genuine Concern for others: We find joy in the success of others and are genuinely interested in others. We strive to understand their concerns and interests in order to help them achieve “success”. We pursue win/win relationships. |
